Danimal
Little is known about the lesser spotted Danimal...
For some time now there have been various sightings of a mysterious nocturnal creature that lurks in and around the dark urban undergrowths of Britain. Some say this beast evolved from the prominent HamilDan species; others believe it’s the product of an infectious mutation caused by pro-longed exposure to sub-sonic wobble. The local tribesmen of Manchester’s Industrial Quarter have dubbed it the Danimal.
While no wild specimen has ever been captured for examination, nocturnal sightings have added weight to the theory that the danimal's primary habitat is dark, industrial, bass-heavy surroundings; such as London tea warehouses, Manchester railway-arches and Birmingham Custard Factories. Capable of scaling large-scale fences and penetrating high-security facilities in hunt of it’s prey, the Danimal tracks it’s quarry by tuning it’s sonar with low-frequency sound waves and swing rhythm percussion.
Some of the first sightings of the danimal were in the rave caves of Nottingham through the early part of the millennium. As the legend goes it is said that the danimal was often found teasing it’s pray in the shadows of the The Bomb and Stealth - two Nottingham nightspots where the infectious mutation is said to have first gestated to riotous effect. At this time it was even rumoured that a bouncer once nearly caught a danimal, but was instead left chasing it round those dark caves endlessly for hours.
A Mr Steve Bug's reported sighting of a danimal at a Lancashire soap factory detailed that the species hypnotised it's prey with a combination of smooth bird-song like melodies underpinned by wobbling low-frequency growls...
While primarily a Western European species, eye witness encounters of danimals hunting it's prey have been reported in Croatia, Hong Kong, Ibiza
If you should be lucky enough to encounter a Danimal, proceed with extreme caution: it’s call may be infectiously hypnotic to humans, but the health effects are as yet unknown…
